The Hair Loss Industry |
Online Pharmacy provides the access to health information and prescription medications. Some extreme hair replacement alternatives include: hair systems, surgery, or other devices installed on your scalp. Though these can be effective approaches for some people, it is either not affordable or not practical for many others. Hair systems in general can be a pain in the neck to take care of and maintain over time. In addition they are very costly and only a few people can afford them. Another treatment for hair loss is supplements. Of the many available supplements on the market there are only a handful that actually have been proven to work. One such item is Propecia which has been cleared by the FDA to work. Propecia has been known to re-grow hair in men that have experienced thinning within a three year time frame. Propecia is not a cure for baldness and generally speaking will not grow back any hair on bald men. It is also know to cause sexual side effects in some men and that has quite a few men looking for alternatives. An additional FDA approved treatment for hair loss is Rogaine. Rogaine in its foam form has been known to re-grow hair in 85% of men that were tested (according to a clinical study conducted by Rogaine). The effectiveness of this treatment is best realized within a three-year window after the individual starts to experience hair loss. There are many other treatments and/or remedies that are supposed to stop hair loss. The fact of the matter is that there are too many variables involved i.e. the individuals genetics, diet, lifestyle, stress levels, etc. to be able to make any claims regarding a cure. Everybody is different and unique and reacts differently to supplements and/or treatments. It is best to try a few different options and continue to use what works best for you. |
